Six Purple Knights Qualify for IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, Team Lands Accolade

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Six Saint Michael's College women's lacrosse players qualified for the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll for the 2021-22 school year, while the Purple Knights were among 62 IWLCA Academic Honor Squads in NCAA Division II this past season.

May graduates Hannah Bishop (Queensbury, N.Y./Queensbury), Jordy Fenton (Andover, Mass./Phillips Academy) and Paige Fleming (South Portland, Maine/South Portland) all earned their second IWLCA Academic Honor Roll nod, necessitating holding a minimum cumulative 3.50 grade-point average as a junior, senior or graduate student. Rising seniors Hope Alto (South Boston, Mass./Ursuline Academy), Mackenzie Costello (Peterborough, N.H./ConVal Regional) and Emilie Webster (New London, N.H./Kearsarge Regional) landed their initial accolades. The sextet was among 90 women from the Northeast-10 Conference so honored.

In its third season under head coach Quinn Rose, the team qualified for its second straight IWLCA Academic Honor Squad thanks to its student-athletes combining for a minimum 3.20 GPA for this past academic year. Among the 62 programs from around the nation that were recognized, Saint Michael's was one of 10 from the NE10.
