COLCHESTER, Vt. - The Saint Michael's College women's ice hockey team invites children ages 4 to 14 to join the Purple Knights for a free hour of learning to skate and play the game at Cairns Arena in South Burlington on Saturday, as hosted by both the Saint Michael's women's ice hockey program and the national College Hockey for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiative.
Saint Michael's hosts the State University of New York at Potsdam at 4 p.m. on Rink 1 before the skate and play hour runs between 6 and 7 p.m. Skates and gear are available to borrow during the session. Burns is a member of the College Hockey 4DEI national committee, and the lone student-athlete representative from the New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA).
