  • Bentley pulled away thanks to Romeo's three-run homer in the third and Slavin's two-run home run in the fourth.

  • In the second, Romeo led off with an infield single and stole second before coming home on junior Kaileigh Serafini's two-out RBI single. After Serafini moved up 60 feet on a wild pitch, she tried scoring on Korotsky's single to right, but right fielder Brandenburg cut her down at the plate to keep it 1-0.

Brandenburg led off with a walk before moving to second on senior Aleksandra Apkarian's (Butler, N.J./Butler) sacrifice bunt and scoring when Rathwell's ground ball was thrown away. Rathwell came home on senior Fallon Tierney's (Reading, Mass./Reading Memorial) safety squeeze, and Norton's fielder's choice scored Markowski.
  • Serafini and sophomore Lindsey Allen both reached scoring position with one out in the fifth, but consecutive popups to sophomore second baseman Sydney Longley (East Granby, Conn./The Ethel Walker School) ended the frame.
  • In the sixth, junior Gabby Casalino led off with a single, but catcher Tierney caught the pinch runner trying to steal second. Two more Falcons ended up reaching in the inning, with both standing in scoring position with two down, but the final hitter flew out to Brandenburg in right.
