COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College men's lacrosse May graduate Kyle Hirshom (Walpole, Mass./Walpole) was named New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) All-Academic last week. Eleven Purple Knights have now been recognized with the accolade in the past eight years.
A second-year captain, Hirshom had a breakout senior season, totaling career highs in goals (17), assists (19), ground balls (19) and caused turnovers (6) out of the midfield, accounting for 36 of his 61 career points in 2022. Hirshom turned in a man-up goal and three assists in a 12-11 upset of 19th-ranked Lake Erie (Ohio) College on March 9, recorded three assists and three ground balls versus No. 10 Pace University on March 19, and posted two goals and two assists at The College of Saint Rose, which was receiving national votes, on April 6.
