Sel Narby Earns Selection to NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College men's ice hockey fifth-year senior Sel Narby (Huntington, N.Y./Connecticut Junior Rangers) was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, Feb. 20. Narby claimed his initial league accolade of the season.

In a 7-2 win on Friday, he had four assists, including on three of the Purple Knights' first four goals, while finishing plus-2. Narby assisted the go-ahead power-play goal 59 seconds into the second period during a 4-2 loss on Saturday, adding a blocked shot. The assistant captain is third nationally among NCAA Division I, II and III defenders in points per game (1.2) and eighth in assists per game (0.85). A semifinalist for the Joe Concannon Award, which honors the top Division II/III men's ice hockey player at a New England school, Narby is first among NE10 defensemen in points and assists and second in goals. He is tied for third among all skaters in assists, tied for fifth in assists, and tied for sixth in power-play goals (4). The 2019-20 NE10 Defensive Player of the Year, Narby is tied for 17th in program history in career assists (53) and 25th in points (75).

Now 7-13 overall after finishing 7-9 in NE10 play, the Purple Knights are slated visit Post University on Saturday for an NE10 Championship first-round game. Full postseason information will be released later this week.
