Flack and Turcotte Both Named to NE10 Weekly Honor Roll

COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College men's ice hockey seniors Thomas Flack (Toronto, Ontario/Saint Michael's Buzzers) and Hugo Turcotte (Gap, France/Kimball Union Academy) were both named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, Jan. 9.

Flack recorded two goals and two assists during a three-game week, going 27-for-45 on faceoffs and finishing plus-1. In a 3-2 win over Saint Anselm College on Tuesday, he scored twice in the opening 5:33 while winning 6-of-13 faceoffs. In a 3-2 loss at Assumption University on Friday, Flack assisted the tying goal at 15:24 of the second period while turning in a 9-for-15 faceoff performance. His assist on a power play brought Saint Michael's within 2-1 at 10:32 of the first period at Assumption on Saturday in an 8-2 loss. Flack was 12-for-17 at the dot.

Flack, who landed on the Weekly Honor Roll for the third time this winter, has three goals and five assists, tying for 19th in the league in assists and tying for 20th in points (8). He leads the team in points while tying for first in both goals and assists, also taking second in faceoff wins (88) and winning percentage (54.0%). A fifth-year member of the program, Flack has totaled 22 goals and 25 assists in 84 career games while winning 403 faceoffs.

Turcotte put together a 3.26 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage while yielding only five even-strength goals and posting a 1-1 mark over three games, including two starts. He had 29 saves in the 3-2 win over Saint Anselm on Tuesday before making another 34 stops in the 3-2 loss at Assumption on Friday. Turcotte made 20 saves while yielding four goals in 47:57 of relief at Assumption on Saturday. A two-time NE10 Weekly Honor Roll pick this year, he is second in the NE10 in saves per game (29.9) while tying for fifth in GAA (3.58).

Now 2-8 overall and 2-4 in the NE10, the Purple Knights visit Franklin Pierce University on Friday at 3 p.m.
