COLCHESTER, Vt. - Saint Michael's College men's ice hockey juniors Noah Muller (Amsterdam, The Netherlands/Düsseldorfer EG) and Cameron Stewart (Sabattus, Maine/East Coast Wizards) earned spots on the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Sunday, Jan. 12. Muller earns his second weekly award of the year, while Stewart nabs his first.
Muller turned in three goals and an assist in a 1-2 week. During a 6-3 win over Post University on Tuesday, he became the first Purple Knight defenseman in exactly six years to net a hat trick, scoring three of the game's final five goals to snap a 2-2 tie. Muller added an assist on the opening goal in a 4-3 loss to Assumption College on Friday. Muller is tied for 13th in the NE10 in points (12), and tied for 14th in both goals (5) and assists (7). He is tied for third in defenseman scoring and tied for fifth in power-play points (9). He is also tied for 18th in Division II/III in points per game by a defenseman (0.92).
Stewart posted three goals and three blocked shots while going 12-for-19 on faceoffs in a 1-2 week. His power-play tally sparked the Purple Knights' comeback from down 2-0 in a 6-3 win over Post on Tuesday before he scored twice more in a 4-3 loss to Assumption on Friday. Stewart is tied for eighth in the NE10 in goals (6) and tied for seventh in power-play goals (3). His six tallies through 13 games exceed the five Stewart totaled in 44 contests as an underclassman.
At 8-6-1 overall and 4-3 in the league, the Purple Knights return to action Friday by hosting Franklin Pierce University at 7 p.m. to kick off a two-game weekend series with the Ravens.
