CONCORD, N.H. - Saint Michael's College men's golf senior Brendan Locke (Marblehead, Mass./Marblehead) and junior Declan Buckley (Walpole, Mass./Xaverian Brothers) both cracked the top 25 during the 36-hole opening day of Southern New Hampshire University's two-day Granite State Opener on Monday at Beaver Meadows Golf Course. Buckley tied for 20th, while Locke tied for 24th.

TEAM RESULTS

  • The Purple Knights are eighth among nine schools after the opening day with a 308-310--618 showing thus far. They built a one-shot lead over American International College following the opening 18 to 10 strokes by day's end.
  • Six schools, including the top five, qualified for the 2022 NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Championship.
