Stuart became the third first-year in program history to land all-league, joining Zach White '10 in 2006-07 and Nick Dupuis-Gaudreault '18 in 2014-15. In all, 16 men from the NE10 earned all-conference laurels, with six being placed on the second team. Stuart was among only four first-years chosen for NE10 All-Conference, and one of just two placed as high as the second team. He gave Saint Michael's an all-league pick for the third straight year, as Matt Johnson '20 was named to the second and first teams in 2018-19 and 2019-20, respectively.
Stuart capped an abbreviated rookie year, which featured four regular-season meets in the spring, by joining Johnson as the lone NCAA Championship qualifiers in program history. As the initial Purple Knight first-year to compete at regionals, Stuart tied for 59th out of 85 golfers at the three-day championship, standing at 26-over 79-84-79--242. He was one of six individuals from the Atlantic and East regions to make the postseason field.
Stuart was his team's low man at three of four tournaments, including debuting with an opening-round 70 during a dual meet with Southern New Hampshire University on March 31, tying the program record for a rookie. He ended the 36-hole day in third place at 70-76--146. Stuart followed that up by tying for 11th among 35 competitors during the Saint Anselm College Invitational on April 9, carding a 78-78--156. On April 20, Stuart tied for 11th out of 44 golfers at the NE10 Championship, ending the day at 81-75--156. His season scoring average of 78.00 matched Johnson for the best by a Purple Knight first-year since complete records became available in 1997-98.
