George "Doc" Jacobs Field (Softball)

Since being reestablished as a program for the 1990 season following an eight-year absence, softball has played its home games on the softball field in the George "Doc" Jacobs Field Complex.

The Doc Jacobs softball field is adjacent to Vermont National Guard headquarters Camp Johnson, with the backstop next to the chain-link fence that separates the complex from the Camp. The right-field line runs along a wooded area, right field sits partially on a natural-grass practice field, and the left-field fence is situated just short of the Duffy Artificial Turf Field.

Among the amenities at the softball field are an electronic scoreboard out of play near the right-field line, metal bleachers next to both the home and visiting dugouts, and a breakaway fence in the outfield. Both dugouts are wooden on the three sides, have wooden roofs and are covered on the front by chain link.

Prior to playing on Doc Jacobs Field, the softball team played from 1975 to 1981 on land at the current 300s Field nearest to the present home of the Tarrant Recreation Center.
